Geriatric Medicine

Geriatric medicine has been an important aspect we focus on at MLEC. We work hard to treat the pleasure and competition horses but feel that our retired horses deserve the same excellence of care. We have found that many of our patients remain active into their twenties and continue to be ridden past their prime. We aim to provide care to horses by simple visits for dental checks 1-2 yearly, ACTH testing, muscle maintenance, joint therapy, osteoarthritis management, weight loss, respiratory/dermatology issues and routine blood monitoring. We are excited to allow you and your horse a retirement they deserve in a fashion that is unsurpassed. The issues we listed are yet only a few of our most common visits.
